The Cultural Landscape Foundation

The Cultural Landscape Foundation (TCLF) is a non-profit organization founded in 1998. Its mission is to educate the public about cultural landscapes and their significance, fostering appreciation and stewardship across North America. TCLF connects people to these landscapes, enhancing understanding of their historical and cultural value. TCLF operates through four main programs. "What’s Out There" is a comprehensive database of cultural landscapes, providing detailed information for exploration. The "Pioneers of American Landscape Design" program features a multimedia library that includes video oral histories of influential landscape architects. The "Landslide" program highlights threatened landscapes, raising awareness and encouraging conservation efforts. Additionally, the "Cornelia Hahn Oberlander International Landscape Architecture Prize" recognizes excellence in the field with a monetary award and public engagement activities. TCLF serves a diverse audience, including the general public, researchers, conservationists, and landscape professionals, making its resources widely accessible for those interested in cultural heritage and landscape architecture.
