WAVE Foundation - Newport Aquarium

The WAVE Foundation is an independent, educational non-profit organization affiliated with the Newport Aquarium. Its mission is to excite, engage, and educate the community about aquatic life and conservation. The foundation focuses on education, conservation, and volunteerism. WAVE Foundation offers unique educational curricula and experiences for students of all ages, including summer and spring break camps that feature animal ambassadors and trips to the Newport Aquarium. It also leads local, national, and global conservation initiatives and supports underserved schools through its Community Outreach Scholarship Fund. The foundation manages a vibrant volunteer program with over 450 volunteers and provides internship opportunities for college students. Primarily serving the communities in Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana, WAVE Foundation partners with schools and community groups to promote educational experiences, especially for those from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. As a 501(c)(3) organization, it encourages tax-deductible donations to support its mission.
