Ugandan Water Project

The Ugandan Water Project is a non-profit organization focused on providing clean water solutions in Uganda. It aims to improve access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) resources in both rural and urban communities. The organization implements various initiatives, including rainwater collection systems, borehole rehabilitations, and the drilling of new boreholes. They have established 449 rainwater collection systems and rehabilitated 183 boreholes, ensuring communities have reliable access to clean water. Additionally, they provide water filters to enhance water quality and have developed the Rural and Urban Monitoring Information System (RUMIS) in collaboration with the Ugandan Ministry of Water and Environment for effective data management of water resources. The Ugandan Water Project is governed by a dedicated board of directors and operates through donations and grants to support its mission.
