Fung Fellowship at UC Berkeley
About
The Fung Fellowship at UC Berkeley is an innovative program aimed at training diverse undergraduate students to create tech solutions for societal challenges. It is a collaborative initiative involving the Fung Institute for Engineering Leadership, the School of Public Health, Rausser College of Natural Resources, and entrepreneur Coleman Fung, a UC Berkeley alumnus. The fellowship offers two main tracks: Health + Innovation, which addresses health-related challenges, and Conservation + Innovation, focusing on environmental sustainability. Students engage in a learner-centered environment, co-designing their experiences and collaborating with community organizations and industry partners. The program provides innovation training, community engagement opportunities, and mentorship from alumni and industry professionals, fostering real-world learning and social impact.
