About

Capture6 is a public benefit corporation focused on developing scalable direct air capture (DAC) technology. This innovative approach permanently removes CO₂ from the atmosphere while producing fresh water from saltwater or brine waste. The company utilizes repurposed commercial equipment for rapid deployment, integrating water treatment with carbon removal to turn waste streams into valuable resources. The core of Capture6's technology is its hydroloop system, which processes saltwater or industrial brine to generate sodium hydroxide (NaOH) solvent. This solvent captures atmospheric CO₂, producing carbonate solutions or gaseous CO₂ for sequestration. The system not only generates fresh water but also reduces brine waste and creates alkaline fluids for flexible storage. Capture6's mission prioritizes environmental impact, partnering with industries, governments, and communities to enhance water security and promote durable carbon storage.
