The Captain Planet Foundation (CPF) is a nonprofit organization focused on empowering young people to tackle environmental challenges. Founded in 1991 by Ted Turner and Barbara Pyle, CPF became an independent public charity in 2002. The foundation's mission is to engage youth in critical thinking, creativity, and global citizenship, promoting collaboration and optimism. CPF operates as both a grant-making and programmatic foundation, funding over 3,300 hands-on environmental education projects that have reached more than 11.5 million children worldwide.
