Youth MOVE National

Youth MOVE National is a youth-led peer advocacy organization focused on empowering young people with lived experience in mental health, juvenile justice, education, and child welfare systems. As a social justice nonprofit, its mission is to ensure that youth are recognized as leaders and advocates in shaping policies and programs that impact their lives. The organization connects and supports youth leadership through a network of over 55 local chapters across the U.S. These chapters drive community-level advocacy and programming, emphasizing peer support, cultural competency, and youth voice. Youth MOVE National offers various services, including chapter support, advocacy training, and the Youth MOVE Change Initiative, which expands the youth peer workforce in mental health and substance use recovery. It also facilitates national peer networks for youth to share experiences and promote collective action. Youth MOVE National primarily serves youth aged 14–26 and collaborates with policymakers and youth-serving organizations to integrate youth perspectives into programs and policies.
