Trades NL

Trades NL, also known as the Building Trades of Newfoundland and Labrador, is a labor organization based in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. It represents the interests of 14 to 16 affiliated building and construction trades unions and their international affiliates. The organization advocates for thousands of workers in the construction sector, focusing on government relations, collective bargaining, and promoting safe work conditions.

As a membership organization, Trades NL supports workforce development through initiatives like the Indigenous Apprentices Office Inc. and programs for newcomers via the College of the Skilled Trades NL and Construction Trades Hub. The organization emphasizes advocacy and coordination among its affiliates to influence policy and bargaining, ensuring a collective voice for its members. It also prioritizes safety and representation in negotiations with government and employers.
