Rester is a Finnish mechanical textile recycling company based in Espoo, founded in 2019. It specializes in recovering business textiles, such as end-of-life garments, uniforms, and manufacturing by-products, transforming them into new fibers and high-quality raw materials. Rester operates the largest mechanical textile recycling facility in Northern Europe, processing around 6,000 tonnes of textile waste annually. The company employs both closed-loop and open-loop recycling processes to convert various textile types, including cotton, polyester, and wool, into reusable materials. Rester's recovered fibers are used to create a wide range of products, including yarn, non-woven materials, technical textiles, and household items. Rester collaborates with major Nordic companies and waste collection services to enhance its recycling efforts and contribute to a circular economy.
