Pilgrim Africa is a Ugandan faith-based nonprofit organization founded in 2001. Initially established to address the humanitarian crisis of internally displaced persons in Uganda, it now focuses on ending malaria and neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) while promoting education and sustainable development. The organization is headquartered in Uganda, with an office in Seattle, and collaborates with global partners, including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Rotary International. The organization implements various programs, including malaria and NTD control through research, community interventions, and advocacy. It also provides education through the Beacon of Hope School, emphasizing STEAM learning and robotics. Additionally, Pilgrim Africa supports community development by offering health services, trauma counseling, and economic empowerment initiatives. Its mission is to foster sustainable prosperity and health for African communities, emphasizing local leadership and innovative solutions. Pilgrim Africa has made a significant impact, reaching over 600,000 households with malaria prevention services and empowering students through educational initiatives.
