Neverware

Neverware is a technology company based in New York, founded in 2011 by Jonathan Hefter. The company specializes in cost-effective software solutions, particularly for the education sector. Its flagship product, CloudReady, is an operating system based on Google's open-source Chromium OS. This product enables users to convert existing hardware into Chrome devices, making it ideal for educational institutions that need to manage devices efficiently. In addition to CloudReady, Neverware offers solutions for digital signage, testing, learning, remote work, and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). These services enhance the efficiency and security of computing environments for both businesses and educational institutions. Neverware was acquired by Google in December 2020, and its employees joined the Chrome OS team, continuing to support and develop CloudReady.
