About Global Resilience Partnership

The Global Resilience Partnership (GRP) is a collaborative network focused on enhancing resilience for vulnerable communities, particularly in regions like the Sahel, Horn of Africa, and South and Southeast Asia. It aims to foster innovation, share knowledge, and influence policy to help these areas adapt to various challenges. Founded with a commitment of $150 million from The Rockefeller Foundation, USAID, and Sida, GRP emphasizes proactive, evidence-based investments rather than reactive disaster responses.

GRP operates through two main units: the GRP Non-Profit Company in South Africa and the Stockholm Resilience Centre in Sweden. Its core activities include identifying and scaling innovative solutions, generating and sharing resilience knowledge, and shaping policies to enhance climate resilience. By focusing on data-driven analytics and cross-sector alliances, GRP supports its partners in building sustainable development practices that empower communities to thrive amid uncertainty.
