About Evanston Scholars
Evanston Scholars is a non-profit organization based in Evanston, Illinois, founded in 2011. It is dedicated to enhancing college access and success for first-generation college entrants, students from low-income families, and students of color. The organization supports these students throughout the college admissions process, college graduation, and career launch. The organization offers a comprehensive six-year program that includes college advising, workshops, ACT/SAT preparation, and mentoring. Additionally, it features a career readiness program that provides coaching, professional development, and internship opportunities. The RISE Internship Program specifically helps college sophomores secure internships or research opportunities during their junior summer. Evanston Scholars collaborates with community leaders, donors, and corporate partners to enrich its programs.
