Accelerate Auto

Accelerate Auto is a Canadian not-for-profit organization established on February 16, 2021. It is dedicated to enhancing career opportunities and increasing Black representation in the automotive industry, which includes car dealerships, manufacturers, and suppliers. The organization aims to address systemic racism by raising awareness about anti-Black racism and fostering mentorship networks for Black talent, students, and allies.

The coalition collaborates with various sectors, including OEMs, suppliers, and automotive media, to support diverse members. Key initiatives involve educational programs, presentations to high school students in partnership with Hyundai Canada and Georgian College, and a mentorship program for women in the automotive field. Accelerate Auto also focuses on promoting Black-owned dealerships and creating resources for career development. Membership is open to individuals across Canada, with a particular emphasis on increasing visibility in Quebec.
