UBC Strategy Consulting Initiative

UBC Strategy Consulting Initiative (SCI) is a student-run, not-for-profit program established in 2011 at the University of British Columbia's Sauder School of Business. The initiative offers pro-bono consulting services to businesses and charities in Vancouver, allowing students to gain practical experience while supporting local organizations.

SCI focuses on strategy consulting, typically running projects from January to April. It employs top graduate and undergraduate students to tackle business challenges, providing analysis and recommendations on issues such as user attraction and platform growth. One notable project in 2024 involved collaboration with PlaceSpeak, where a team of students worked on strategies to enhance citizen engagement for the platform's features.
