The Global Language Network (GLN) is a nonprofit organization based in Washington, DC, founded in 2005 by Andrew Brown. Its mission is to use language as a tool for addressing personal, professional, and global challenges. GLN believes that language proficiency is essential for cross-cultural understanding and conflict resolution, and it aims to create diverse learning communities that apply language skills to humanitarian efforts. GLN offers affordable language education in over 60 languages, including English as a second language, taught by volunteer instructors from various regions.
