tepeo is a British ClimateTech company founded in 2018, focused on designing and manufacturing low-carbon heating solutions. Headquartered in Wokingham, the company aims to help customers transition away from fossil fuels by providing cleaner and more cost-effective heating options. With a team of 68 employees, tepeo engineers and manufactures its products in the UK and achieved B Corp certification in November 2024, becoming the first domestic heating manufacturer to do so. The flagship product, the Zero Emission Boiler (ZEB), launched in 2021. This innovative heat battery boiler stores thermal energy and operates on electricity, charging during off-peak hours and releasing heat on demand. The ZEB features smart technology for optimal heat storage and can be controlled remotely. It installs quickly with minimal changes to existing systems and produces no pollution, enhancing local air quality. The ZEB is designed for about 40% of UK properties, serving as a replacement for traditional gas, oil, or electric boilers, and offers significant cost savings for users.
