Sasuchan Development Corporation (SDC) is the economic arm of the Takla Nation, established on February 11, 2016. Its mission is to create business opportunities and sustainable employment for Takla Nation members while honoring their land, culture, and traditional territory. SDC operates through the Takla Lake Limited Partnership, focusing on achieving economic self-reliance and community prosperity.

Headquartered in Prince George, British Columbia, SDC has developed a diverse portfolio of businesses, emphasizing diversification into non-traditional sectors. The company engages in forestry, silviculture, mining, and real estate, and has established long-term agreements with Canfor and other licensees. SDC also offers services in communications, construction, environmental management, technology, and natural resources, while actively seeking equity investments and partnerships to foster growth. In recognition of its efforts, SDC received the 2022 Community-Owned Business of the Year award from the BC Achievement Foundation.
