SaferVPN is a VPN service provider founded in 2013 by Sagi Gidali and Amit Bareket. The company focused on delivering secure, private, and uncensored internet access to users around the world. Initially operating independently, SaferVPN offered a variety of VPN solutions for both consumers and businesses. In 2019, it was acquired by NetProtect, a subsidiary of J2 Global, which specializes in online security and privacy services. SaferVPN provided a range of VPN services designed to bypass geo-restrictions and protect user privacy. The company offered scalable cloud-based VPN applications and a customizable cloud management portal, particularly aimed at businesses for efficient and secure management of their VPN needs. Following its acquisition, SaferVPN continued to operate under its brand until November 30, 2023, when users were migrated to IPVanish, another VPN service owned by J2 Global.
