The Partnership for Women's Health Research Canada (PWHR) is a collaborative network focused on advancing women's health research throughout Canada. It unites over 915 researchers who tackle health issues across various disciplines, ensuring a comprehensive approach to women's health. PWHR also plays a vital role in mentoring more than 1,400 trainees each year, including undergraduates and postdoctoral fellows.
PWHR's mission is to create and mobilize knowledge that benefits the health of women, trans, and non-binary individuals across their lifespans. The organization emphasizes excellence, collaboration, equity, and inclusivity in its research efforts. Its multidisciplinary approach encompasses basic science, clinical science, epidemiology, health systems, and community-based research. PWHR is dedicated to enhancing training opportunities, fostering networking among health researchers, and advocating for increased funding to support its initiatives.
