Palerra

Palerra, founded in 2013 and based in Santa Clara, California, was a cloud security startup that specialized in cloud access security brokerage (CASB) solutions. The company was co-founded by Oracle veterans Rohit Gupta and Ganesh Kirti and raised $25 million in funding from notable investors. In September 2016, Palerra was acquired by Oracle to enhance its cloud security offerings. Palerra's flagship product, Loric, was a security automation platform designed to protect cloud environments. It featured capabilities such as threat detection and incident response, security configuration management, predictive analytics, and compliance assurance. The company served a range of enterprises, including VMware, Pitney Bowes, and Jefferies, and partnered with major cloud providers like Microsoft to improve security integration across platforms. Following its acquisition, Palerra's technology and team were integrated into Oracle's cloud security suite.
