Oregon Business Academy
About
The Oregon Business Academy (OBA) is a nonprofit organization based in Salem, Oregon, dedicated to providing experiential business education for high school students in grades 9–12. Founded in 2022 or 2023, OBA aims to prepare students for college, careers, and life success through hands-on learning experiences. One of OBA's key initiatives is Business Week, a week-long program held at Oregon State University, where approximately 200 students annually form executive teams, manage simulated companies, and compete with their peers. The organization emphasizes equity and inclusion, striving to enroll at least 50% of participants from low-income and underrepresented communities. Future plans include the introduction of Marketing Week in 2024 and the expansion of advanced programming. OBA's curriculum features team-based simulations, leadership training, and mentorship from corporate volunteers and alumni interns.
