Nitricity

Nitricity is a climate-tech startup focused on producing sustainable, organic nitrogen fertilizers. Founded in 2018 by Stanford graduates, the company aims to reduce the environmental impact of conventional fertilizer production, which contributes significantly to global greenhouse gas emissions. Nitricity's core product is a liquid organic nitrogen fertilizer made from air, water, renewable energy, and recycled almond shells. This fertilizer is OMRI-listed and CDFA OIM-registered for organic farming, free from odors and pathogens, and designed to integrate with modern irrigation systems.

The company operates a pilot facility in Fremont, CA, producing 80 tons of fertilizer annually, and is constructing a commercial-scale facility in Delhi, CA, which will produce 1.4 million gallons per year. Nitricity has secured significant funding, raising $70 million in total and establishing partnerships with organizations like Chipotle and Olam Food Ingredients. The company is expanding its operations across the U.S. and plans to enter the European market, responding to the growing demand for organic and sustainable agricultural solutions.
