NEOM
About
NEOM is a planned mega-city and integrated economic zone in northwest Saudi Arabia, launched in 2017 by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. This ambitious project aims to diversify the Saudi economy and create a sustainable urban environment. Covering 26,500 km², NEOM is designed to be a hub for innovation and technology, with a focus on livability and well-being. Key developments within NEOM include The Line, a linear megacity for 9 million residents; Oxagon, a floating industrial complex and logistics hub; and Sindalah Island, aimed at boosting tourism. The region operates across 14 priority sectors, including education, health, technology, and tourism, and is backed by the NEOM Investment Fund to support early-stage projects. NEOM is expected to significantly contribute to the national GDP and create numerous job opportunities by 2030, attracting startups, multinational companies, and international investors.
