About MWR InfoSecurity

MWR InfoSecurity is a British cybersecurity company founded in 2003. It specializes in research-led consulting services, managed security solutions, and cyber defense tools. By 2018, MWR had grown to become one of the largest privately held cybersecurity firms globally, employing around 400 people across offices in the UK, USA, South Africa, and Singapore. The company generated €31 million in revenue for the 2017 financial year and was acquired by F-Secure in June 2018.

MWR offered a comprehensive range of cybersecurity services, including information security consulting, penetration testing, incident response, and managed services for cyber attack detection. It also provided training and mobile security solutions. The company was known for its research-driven approach, hosting events like the annual HackFu conference and demonstrating successful attacks at Pwn2Own. Following its acquisition, MWR rebranded as F-Secure Consulting, continuing to focus on detection, response, and consulting services while retaining all staff and offices.
