About McGill Artificial Intelligence Society

The McGill Artificial Intelligence Society (MAIS) is a student-run club at McGill University, part of the Faculty of Engineering. It aims to make artificial intelligence accessible and engaging for students, particularly undergraduates, through educational events, workshops, and community-building initiatives. MAIS serves as a central hub in Montreal's AI ecosystem, connecting students with local opportunities through activities like hackathons, learnathons, and industry gatherings.

MAIS offers a variety of hands-on programs to enhance AI skills and foster community. These include a 10-week bootcamp for machine learning fundamentals, Canada's largest AI hackathon, technical workshops, and an undergraduate AI research conference. The club also hosts interactive panels on AI ethics and provides networking opportunities with industry leaders. Through these initiatives, participants gain practical experience, mentorship, and exposure to AI tools, preparing them for future roles in the industry.
