MCAC Women in Mechanical Contracting
About MCAC Women in Mechanical Contracting
MCAC Women in Mechanical Contracting is an initiative under the Mechanical Contractors Association of Canada (MCAC) aimed at empowering women in the mechanical construction industry. This program, also known as Women in Mechanical Construction (WiMC) or Women in Canadian Trade Contracting (WiCTC), provides a national platform for women to share experiences, learn from one another, and promote inclusiveness in the field.
The initiative offers networking opportunities, professional development, and educational resources tailored specifically for women in mechanical construction. Activities include podcasts, newsletters, and collaborative events with industry groups like CIPH's Women's Network. It also supports broader MCAC efforts, such as training through the Construction Education Council and advocacy in government relations, contributing to a more inclusive environment in the mechanical contracting sector.
