Math Kangaroo USA, NFP is a national nonprofit organization focused on fostering a love of mathematics among students in the United States. Founded in 1998 by mathematician and educator Maria Omelanczuk, the organization introduced the Math Kangaroo competition in Chicago and became a formal nonprofit in 2003 to promote the contest nationwide. The organization hosts an annual international mathematical competition, the Math Kangaroo contest, which takes place every March.
