Math Kangaroo USA, NFP is a national nonprofit organization focused on fostering a love of mathematics among students in the United States. Founded in 1998 by mathematician and educator Maria Omelanczuk, the organization introduced the Math Kangaroo competition in Chicago and became a formal nonprofit in 2003 to promote the contest nationwide. The organization hosts an annual international mathematical competition, the Math Kangaroo contest, which takes place every March. This event is open to students from grades 1 through 12 and features engaging problems that encourage critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
