Welcome to the Mainland Nova Scotia Building Trades. Our goal is to enhance the opportunities for our 13 member unions and the professional tradespersons they represent. The depth of experience represented by our membership is truly impressive and ever-increasing. The mandate for the Building Trades is to supply a skilled and productive workforce for our 300 contractors and owners.

The unionized Building Trades includes over 11,000 professional tradespeople, including 3000 apprentices in Nova Scotia – a significant portion of our working middle class.
