Kilopass (is now a part of Synopsys)
About
Kilopass Technology, now part of Synopsys, was a semiconductor IP provider known for its antifuse one-time programmable (OTP) non-volatile memory (NVM) solutions. Acquired by Synopsys in January 2018, Kilopass' technology is integrated into Synopsys' DesignWare IP portfolio, enhancing offerings for various applications, including automotive, IoT, industrial, and mobile. Kilopass developed OTP NVM IP featuring 1T and 2T bitcell designs, supporting memory densities up to 4Mb across process nodes from 180nm to 7nm. Their antifuse technology provided secure and area-efficient memory solutions, particularly for embedded systems like automotive microcontrollers, IoT edge devices, and industrial sensors. The integration with Synopsys' existing OTP and multi-time programmable (MTP) NVM IP allows for broader applications in system-on-chip (SoC) designs, addressing the demand for secure, low-power memory solutions in connected devices.
