Founded shortly before the COVID-19 pandemic, JACOBB focuses on applied AI research and development, utilizing expertise in machine learning and deep learning to meet practical client needs. The center aims to support economic and social progress in Quebec through responsible AI innovation.

JACOBB offers a range of services, including technical assistance for project phases, applied AI research tailored to project maturity, and training for AI integration. The center collaborates on various projects across sectors such as health technologies, financial services, and legal tech. Notable projects include developing machine learning models for customer service, agricultural yield prediction, and predictive maintenance for manufacturing. JACOBB is affiliated with Collège Bois-de-Boulogne and Cégep John-Abbott, with a mission to facilitate knowledge sharing and pragmatic expertise in AI.
