About
The Integrated Justice Information Systems (IJIS) Institute is a nonprofit organization founded in April 2001. It evolved from the Industry Working Group, which was established in 1999 to address challenges in justice information technology. The IJIS Institute focuses on driving public sector innovation and enhancing information sharing to promote safer and healthier communities. It serves as a collaboration network for individuals and organizations facing similar challenges. The IJIS Institute provides a variety of services to support public sector needs, particularly in justice, homeland security, health and human services, school safety, and transportation. Its offerings include policy support, operational assistance, technical support, training programs, and program management. The organization collaborates with local, tribal, state, and federal agencies, as well as 72 state and local fusion centers, to enhance information sharing and coordination across various sectors.
