About Food and Beverage Canada - Aliments et boissons Canada
Food and Beverage Canada (FBC-ABC) is a national industry association that represents over 1,850 food and beverage manufacturing businesses across Canada. Established in 2018, it serves as the primary voice for the domestic food and beverage manufacturing sector, advocating for policies that enhance productivity, competitiveness, sustainability, and regulatory effectiveness. The organization includes six provincial and regional associations and major industry players, uniting businesses from startups to large manufacturers.
FBC-ABC focuses on policy advocacy in areas such as agriculture, health regulations, and immigration pathways for temporary foreign workers. It engages in lobbying efforts to influence federal regulations and provides research and submissions to Parliament. The association also hosts annual general meetings and stakeholder engagement sessions to foster collaboration within the industry. With a significant impact on Canada's economy, the food and beverage sector is the second-largest manufacturing industry, employing around 290,000 people and contributing $117.8 billion in production value.
