About Fondation Véro & Louis

Fondation Véro & Louis is a non-profit organization established in 2016 by Véronique Cloutier and Louis Morissette. The foundation focuses on creating permanent, adapted living environments for autistic adults aged 21 and over, including those with intellectual disabilities. Its mission is to address the need for safe and supportive housing that promotes independence and socio-professional development.

The first project, Véro & Louis Home, opened in Varennes, Quebec, in 2021. This facility features a two-story building with four connected residences, accommodating 20 residents. Each residence includes five bedrooms and shared spaces such as an activity room, cinema, and fitness room. Residents benefit from 24/7 support from specialized educators and access to daily educational programs tailored to their needs.

The foundation plans to replicate this model in future projects, emphasizing a unique living approach that fosters autonomy and skill-building. It relies on donations and partnerships for funding, with events like the 12h-80km Race contributing significantly to its initiatives.
