About Evidence-Based Cybersecurity Research Group

The Evidence-Based Cybersecurity Research Group (EBCS) is a collaborative initiative based at Georgia State University, involving multiple colleges including the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies and the J. Mack Robinson School of Business. The group focuses on using scientific methods, law, and engineering to develop digital technologies that address cyber-dependent crimes. EBCS offers services such as threat identification and mitigation, policy development support, education on online threats, and research and development. They produce research reports and studies that provide empirical evidence on cybersecurity effectiveness, along with guidelines for policy development. The group also invents and adapts innovative digital technologies to enhance cybersecurity measures. EBCS collaborates with various institutions, including government agencies, nonprofits, and for-profit organizations, to strengthen cybersecurity practices.
