Energy Modelling Hub - Carrefour de modélisation énergétique
About Energy Modelling Hub - Carrefour de modélisation énergétique
Energy Modelling Hub - Carrefour de modélisation énergétique (CME-EMH) is an independent Canadian center focused on energy modeling. It supports data-driven energy policy development, decarbonization efforts, and carbon neutrality analysis across Canada. Established with nearly $5 million in funding, the hub is led by Polytechnique Montréal's Trottier Energy Institute in collaboration with the University of Victoria and the University of Calgary.
CME-EMH creates a national network of energy modeling experts and stakeholders, facilitating access to energy models and open data. It promotes open-source models and datasets, supports knowledge transfer and training, and maintains a comprehensive inventory of energy models and expert resources. The hub also hosts events and collaborates with various organizations to advance energy and carbon neutrality discussions. Its CODERS Database provides free, open data on power generation and system operations, supporting multi-vector energy system models.
