About

ECHO CYMH (ECHO Ontario Child and Youth Mental Health) is a collaborative learning program aimed at enhancing child and youth mental health care in Ontario. It connects healthcare providers through interactive videoconferencing, educational presentations, and case discussions, fostering knowledge sharing and community building. This approach helps improve diagnostic, referral, and treatment practices for mental health issues among children and youth. The program offers various services, including real-time learning sessions, educational presentations on best practices, and case-based discussions for collaborative learning. Participants can also earn Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits to support their professional development. ECHO CYMH has a significant reach, with thousands of healthcare providers participating annually, including primary care physicians, mental health specialists, and allied health professionals. The initiative ultimately aims to enhance the knowledge and confidence of these providers, leading to better mental health outcomes for children and youth in the community.
