CSU Spur is an educational and research initiative by Colorado State University located at Denver’s National Western Center. It serves as a free public destination focused on food, water, and health innovation, aiming to connect urban and rural communities through education, research, and hands-on engagement. The initiative offers a variety of educational programs, including PreK-12 field trips, workshops, and interactive exhibits designed to inspire interest in STEM fields. CSU Spur also provides higher education pathways with undergraduate courses, certificate programs, and graduate degrees, including the CSU Spur Start program for first-year students. Public engagement activities feature live demonstrations, art installations, and lectures. Additionally, CSU Spur supports research collaboration with spaces for interdisciplinary projects related to food systems, water sustainability, and health sciences. The campus includes three dedicated buildings focused on water, health, and food, each designed to promote innovation and address global challenges. CSU Spur's mission is to democratize access to research and education while fostering collaboration across diverse communities.
