Capital Good Fund is a nonprofit Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) based in Providence, Rhode Island. Founded in 2009, its mission is to create pathways out of poverty and promote a green economy through inclusive financial services. The organization aims to empower low-income Americans, immigrants, people of color, the LGBT community, and other marginalized groups by providing alternatives to predatory lending. The organization offers a range of affordable loans, including immigration loans, car loans, energy-efficiency loans, housing and utility loans, and crisis relief loans. These loans are designed to help clients save money, build credit, and navigate financial challenges. Capital Good Fund also provides personalized Financial + Health Coaching to support clients in achieving their goals. With a strong focus on equity and community needs, the organization has originated approximately 16,000 loans totaling $48 million, maintaining a high repayment rate and low portfolio risk.
