About

The Canadian Journal of Public Health (CJPH) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal focused on advancing public health research and practice both in Canada and internationally. Established in 1910, it has undergone several name changes, becoming the CJPH in 1943. The journal is an official publication of the Canadian Public Health Association and is currently published by Springer, with Louise Potvin from Université de Montréal serving as the editor. CJPH publishes six regular issues each year, featuring around 15 manuscripts per issue. It receives approximately 500 original manuscript submissions annually and transitioned to an online-only format in 2013. Articles become openly accessible six months after publication. The journal covers a wide range of topics, including qualitative and quantitative research, population health interventions, and policy innovations, among others. Its mission is to enhance public health research and practice, aiming to improve population health and reduce health inequalities.
