Cambio Labs is a nonprofit organization based in Long Island City, NY, founded in 2021 by Sebastián Martín. The organization is dedicated to empowering low-income BIPOC youth and adults through educational technology and programs that help them become founders of social and environmental ventures. Cambio Labs addresses educational and economic inequities by providing hands-on entrepreneurial training, digital literacy, financial skills, and self-advocacy tools, primarily targeting underserved communities. The organization offers several key programs, including the Journey Platform, a gamified educational tool that supports project-based learning for launching ventures. Other initiatives include the Social Entrepreneurship Program, which incubates youth-led startups, and the Green Workforce Accelerator, which upskills green collar workers. Cambio Labs has successfully empowered over 380 participants across 22 cohorts, with a significant portion receiving paid internship stipends. The organization collaborates with schools, nonprofits, and government entities to create employment pathways and enhance access to opportunities.
