California Cradle-to-Career Data System
About
The California Cradle-to-Career (C2C) Data System is a statewide initiative aimed at integrating and analyzing education, workforce, and social services data across California. Established under Assembly Bill 132 in 2021 and managed by the Government Operations Agency, the C2C Data System provides insights from early childhood through career development, focusing on equity and improving outcomes for students, families, and policymakers. The system connects data from K-12 schools, higher education institutions, workforce development agencies, and social services. It offers public tools such as interactive dashboards for tracking student outcomes and workforce trends, a query builder for customized data analysis, and a research library. Additionally, it provides resources for college and career planning, electronic transcript services, and access to social services. The C2C Data System also supports research and policy efforts by offering de-identified datasets and training programs for educators and policymakers.
