Broadway Subway Project Corporation
About
The Broadway Subway Project Corporation (BSCGP) is a joint venture between Acciona and Ghella, established to design, construct, and deliver a significant public transit project in Vancouver, British Columbia. Headquartered in Vancouver, BSCGP is focused on the 5.7 km extension of the Millennium Line SkyTrain, which will connect VCC-Clark Station to Broadway and Arbutus Street. This project includes both elevated and underground sections, utilizing tunnel boring machines and open excavations. The subway extension aims to alleviate congestion in the Broadway Corridor, a key area for employment, healthcare, and education. It will replace part of the 99 B-Line bus route, providing fast SkyTrain service every 3-4 minutes during peak hours and significantly reducing travel time. BSCGP is responsible for the design and engineering, construction of tunnels and stations, and overall project management, ensuring minimal disruption to the urban environment. The project is scheduled to open in 2027 and is supported by various public-sector partners, enhancing connectivity for residents and commuters in the region.
