The Brain Injury Association of York Region (BIAYR) is a non-profit organization focused on supporting individuals affected by acquired brain injury (ABI) and their caregivers in York Region, Ontario. It offers free resources, advocacy, education, and community programs to enhance the quality of life for ABI survivors and their families. BIAYR provides a range of services, including community support groups for survivors and caregivers, dedicated resources for families, and workshops that cover ABI recovery and strategies. The organization also engages in advocacy and awareness initiatives, particularly during Brain Injury Awareness Month in June. BIAYR is community-funded and hosts both virtual and in-person events to foster connection and support among those affected by ABI.
