The BCIT Accounting Association (BCITAA) is a student-led organization at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) focused on connecting accounting students with employers. Located at BCIT's Burnaby campus, the association enhances students' career prospects through networking events, information sessions, and volunteer opportunities. BCITAA organizes various activities, including public practice networking events that introduce students to major firms, industry networking events for non-public practice careers, and educational info sessions to improve students' professional skills. The association also offers volunteer opportunities, such as the Annual Tax Clinic, where participants can earn CRA certifications. By facilitating these connections, BCITAA helps students explore different career paths and make informed decisions about their futures in accounting.
