BC Road Builders and Heavy Construction Association
About
The BC Road Builders and Heavy Construction Association (BCRB&HCA) is a non-profit organization founded in 1966. It represents over 300 member companies in British Columbia's road building, heavy construction, and maintenance sectors. The association advocates for infrastructure development and economic growth through collaboration, networking, and communication with public and government stakeholders. BCRB&HCA's vision is to be a recognized advocate for investment in resilient infrastructure that supports strong communities and a sustainable environment. Its mission includes promoting workforce diversity, advancing Indigenous engagement, and providing training and safety awareness. The organization categorizes its members into four groups: construction, maintenance, service and supply, and affiliates, emphasizing the importance of member commitment for industry viability. Key initiatives include advocacy on transportation issues, labor negotiations, and organizing events like The RoadShow, which promotes careers in highway maintenance and road building across the province. The association also supports educational initiatives through the Betty Spalton Trust Fund and provides sector-specific updates to its members.
