Flexrotor is a small tactical unmanned aerial system (UAS) developed by Aerovel Corporation and acquired by Airbus Helicopters in May 2024. This vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) aircraft has a maximum take-off weight of 25 kg and is designed for various missions, including Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition, and Reconnaissance (ISTAR). Flexrotor features a flight endurance of 12-14 hours, with a maximum of 33 hours when using external fuel, and can operate in all-weather conditions. The system is capable of autonomous launch and recovery, making it suitable for deployment from land or sea.
