About ACBN Canada Foundation
ACBN Canada Foundation, also known as the Afro-Caribbean Business Network Foundation, is a non-profit organization based in Brampton, Ontario. Founded in 2017, it is dedicated to supporting Black entrepreneurs of African and Caribbean heritage in Canada. The foundation aims to bridge economic gaps by providing resources that help these entrepreneurs start, grow, and scale their businesses. With a vision to foster supportive communities and promote economic empowerment, ACBN plans to launch 500 startups in Western Canada by 2030.
The foundation offers a variety of membership-based and free resources tailored to Black business owners. These include business assessments, networking events, workshops, and access to funding initiatives like a microloan program. ACBN collaborates with several partners, including Sheridan EDGE and Zhoosh Service Enterprise, to provide comprehensive support, including business coaching and development tools. Recognized as Canada's Best Non-Profit Community Organization in the 2023 ByBlacks People's Choice Awards, ACBN has already supported over 3,000 entrepreneurs in its early years.
