The UBC Strategy Consulting Initiative (SCI) is a student-led organization at the University of British Columbia that connects students with local businesses, nonprofits, and charities through pro-bono consulting. The initiative focuses on collaborative problem-solving to help clients tackle their challenges while providing students with valuable hands-on consulting experience.

SCI offers free strategic consulting services to a variety of organizations in Vancouver, including large corporations and nonprofits. The program includes project scope development, where students work with clients to define objectives and prepare necessary materials. Additionally, SCI emphasizes student training by providing roles such as Analysts, Senior Analysts, and Project Managers, allowing students to engage in structured projects that have real-world impact.

The organization also produces white papers that showcase past projects and methodologies, as well as training frameworks to prepare students for client interactions. Active student involvement typically occurs from January to April, with client preparation starting earlier. Clients are required to provide two points of contact and commit to project management support.
