The National accessArts Centre (NaAC) is Canada’s oldest and largest disability arts organization, dedicated to supporting artists with disabilities. Formed in 2020 through the merger of several disability arts groups, NaAC provides opportunities for artists to showcase their talents and break down barriers in the arts community.
NaAC is developing an accessible arts learning campus in Calgary, which will serve as a hub for artistic expression and education. The organization also offers artist residency initiatives that connect artists with disabilities to exhibition and presentation opportunities. Additionally, NaAC operates the Won Lee Community Arts Hub in Toronto, fostering community engagement and artistic creation. Through partnerships with organizations like Global Affairs Canada, NaAC facilitates the acquisition and display of artworks by artists with disabilities in Canadian embassies and cultural centers worldwide.
The organization receives significant support from TD Bank Group, which has increased its sponsorship to $400,000 for 2025, marking a major investment in disability arts in Canada. This funding helps NaAC amplify the voices of artists with disabilities and enhance their contributions to the creative economy.
